more baby photos.

Saturday, September 6, 2008

This is over a month ago.  Wow, she's growing fast.

I just have to share some recent baby pictures. This little one will not be able to complain one day with, "Mom, why don't I have any baby pictures?!" I have appreciated having all girls recently. It is not uncommon for my oldest to say, when playing with her sisters, "Mom, do we look cute together? Do you want our picture?" Why, yes, I do!

i love these carter onesies with the cute phrases.

This is in my top 5 favorite baby moments.

Watching them enjoy "the best nap ever" on Dad.

dance class started again.

Friday, September 5, 2008

Here we are at Payless buying shoes that fit...oh, 30 minutes before her class starts.  I really don't have it together these days.

Miss C. heading into her first dance class ever.  She seemed so excited, until she had to walk into a scary classroom with a bunch of people she didn't know.  She pretty much froze up the whole hour, but it will be good for her to be stretched socially.  Sometimes, I forget how shy she is.

3 girls...that's a lot of dance class tuition.  Ugh.

Well, the returning dancer pranced into the studio like a prima ballerina.  No fear, and ready to dance.

This is crazy to me, but this is our 1st photo of the 5 of us.

2 month checkup

Wednesday, September 3, 2008

Our 2 month baby check was today.  It was confirmed that we have a very healthy (and by that I mean...chubby) baby.  She has grown to 12.5 lbs & 24 inches long.  Good girl!  Miss 90th percentile is not one to skip a meal (yes, that's 90% for both height/weight).  I want to say her fathers' genes have something to do with that...

post-shot fatigue

still sweet after a hard morning

ouch!  3 shots (6 vaccines)

labor day lake weekend

Monday, September 1, 2008

We got away for the Labor Day weekend.  It was a weekend of swimming, good eating, hanging with the grandparents (my folks), movies, and naps (as many as 3 kids would let us take).

She loves my mom's dog so much.  Gracie doesn't share the same feelings.

My oldest snapped this...lil' photographer in the making I think.

1st boatride - she's a natural!

my dad, the boat captain.

we stopped for burgers on the lake at George's Boaters Bistro.

we have heard people say they see some red in her hair.  Don't know what that's all about.  I can't think of any red hair genes from our families...its a mystery.

I have so much to learn...

Wow, life is going to be busy this fall.  I feel like I'm trying to guard against busyness all the time.  But you add school on top of our normal crazy life...and it feels like a lot.  God has been doing a work on me too about how I'm doing in training the girls.  By that I mean...really teaching them biblical character and giving them discipline when they need it (not just when it's convenient).  I was really able to see some of my blindspots after listening to this radio interview and an article by Ginger Plowman.
I can tell we are going to spend a lot of time in the "school room" now.  I'm fumbling through trying to figure out this new homeshooling role I have...with all 3 girls pulling me in different directions.
Good thing she sees schoolwork as fun or this could be a lot harder.

sister playtime

Saturday, August 23, 2008

One of the highlights of my week was having more quality time with these two, while big sis' is in school.  We enjoyed a little sister playtime each day...and I've tried hard to convince them that taking pictures is part of the fun.  ha. I grateful for these sweet moments, in the midst of a lot of crazy ones.
"Give thanks to the LORD, for HE is good, for His loving kindness is everlasting." Psalm 136:1
